At long last, it’s time to add a boss to our space shooter. This boss will appear after all of the enemy waves, complete with a set of unique attacks and behaviors. I’ll divide up the process of adding a boss fight into multiple parts. Today’s story will cover the spawning and the position of the boss.
Previously, I covered my process of converting 3D models to 2D sprites to bring in a boss enemy. Today, we’re going to not only be able to spawn our boss enemy, but we want it to remain in a certain area. For this space shooter game, the boss will remain in the top center area of the game.
