If I’m being completely honest, when Nic said Thailand I was most excited about the food. Being the “hungry belly” that I proudly am, while planning out our itinerary I was often distracted by fantasies of first bites of Pad Thai, warm banana Nutella rotis, and of course — mouthwateringly sweet Thai mangos! When we touched down in January of 2023, my expectation were exceeded and then some. Thailand is definitely a “land” all of it’s own with a plethora of sights, sounds, tastes, and smells to keep you in a glorious hypnosis of elation throughout the duration of your stay.
To arrive in Thailand we flew Turkish Airlines to Bangkok with a stop over in Istanbul. We booked our tickets less than a month in advance for $1770 each. One checked bag was included and complimentary blankets and headphones were provided in flight.
