Pay Your Toll Tax Like Immediately

A toll article popped up in my Google feed. This article has nothing to do with me. I don’t drive. I sold my car in 2020. I won’t name the woman but an Austinite was quoted in the article.

“If you don’t pay your toll balance like immediately, then you know, if you go for like $2 to $200. So it’s really scary, like honestly, it’s a smart way to scam people.”

I’m most worried about poor communication, poor writing and poor editing. Three “likes” in one quote seems a bit much. And what does “if you go for like $2 to $200” even mean? I’m assuming, based on what I read in the article, that if you don’t pay a $2 toll it can exponentially increase to $200.
