<p>We’re a month on from the highly anticipated PlayStation Showcase that, for most people, failed to deliver.</p>
<p>After announcing their first showcase for 2 years, there was a large amount of hype building up to the day. Huge predictions were made, hopes and dream scenarios were discussed, and fans were excited. But unfortunately, the night ended with disappointment for a lot of people. What went wrong?</p>

<h2>What Were Fans Expecting?</h2>
<p>As the day of the showcase grew closer, PlayStation fans all over the world discussed their far-fetched hopes and somewhat more realistic predictions for the upcoming event. Excitement was building and expectations were high.</p>
<p>It seems that many anticipated a presentation showing off lots of AAA games, including new announcements, first glimpses of gameplay, and release dates. But in reality, what we got was a selection of third-party games and upcoming live-service titles.</p>
