Can the Permaculture Diet Save the World?

<p>Iwas fifteen when I first turned vegan, back in the 1980s. Those were the days when you still had to explain what veganism was and spent mealtimes justifying your weirdness to family members and friends.</p> <p>Things have come a long way since then. People are more aware and vegan restaurants are ubiquitous around the world. My own eating habits are also more flexible, but one thing that hasn&rsquo;t changed is the way people get so entrenched in their views in any conversation on the perfect diet.</p> <p>When it comes to the environmental debate in particular, there&rsquo;s an often vicious sense of tribalism with vegan warriors pitted against defenders of the paleolithic realm, to name but one of the battles at play.
