Something I’ve Learned About Myself While on Vacation
<p>I want to share a brief story of what happened last night in Dublin. It began with me being hungry — and I am often hungry. I pulled up the <a href="https://www.happycow.net/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Happy Cow</a> app on my phone, which I’ve been using to find vegan restaurants in the places I’ve visited. While it doesn’t work great in the states, in my experience, it’s very useful in Europe.</p>
<p>This pointed me towards <a href="https://www.vtemplebar.com/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">V Temple Bar</a>, which users told me had vegan pizza and that sounded good at 9 PM last night. It was less than a mile from where I was staying, so I went ahead and walked over there.</p>
<p>When Google told me I’d arrived, I didn’t see this sign. This couldn’t be right. Where the pizza place was supposed to be, I saw this instead:</p>
