What makes for good exhibition designs? Reviewing the State Gallery of Art, Hyderabad.
<p>On a scorching, dull afternoon in Hyderabad, I hopped on an autorickshaw and travelled 40 minutes from my residence to the State Gallery of Art.</p>
<p>After living in four countries in two years, I have come to make art museum/gallery visits a part of my ritual to leave the country feeling fulfilled. I felt unfaithful to myself that I had lived here for three months but hadn’t yet visited any art museum. Spring break beckoned one week of free time and left me with no more excuses to lounge in my apartment aimlessly and procrastinate on this step of my ritual.</p>
<p>I braided my hair into a crown on my head, one befitting a special excursion, and left my apartment with pens and a giant sketchbook I bought a few days ago. I intended to record my journey.</p>
