American Indigenous Communities: Struggles In Healthcare Access

There are over <a href="https://www.acf.hhs.gov/ana/fact-sheet/american-indians-and-alaska-natives-numbers" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">5.2 million</a> American Indians and Alaska Natives in the United States. These indigenous communities make up roughly 2% of the total population, with 14 different states holding more than 100,000 residents with this background. That is a significant population considering these were widely considered to be the first residents of our country long before colonization or mass immigration.
