Julieta Barrionuevo, an Argentine tango instructor living in Mexico City, found out the hard way the limits of behaving poorly.
After her public tirade against city workers that were cutting down a tree on the street where she lived went viral, it was clear that she grossly misunderstood Mexican sensibilities.[1] Barrionuevo dared to utter the one word that, in Mexico, cannot be spoken: “Indian.” She is heard yelling, “Horrible india” at a bystander filming the spectacle: “Horrible Indian.”
