What I Didn’t Know About American Indians
<p>Thanksgiving is over, but I thought about the Native American Indians more than the Pilgrims this year.</p>

<p>I started reading a new book titled “Continental Reckoning, The American West in the Age of Expansion.”</p>
<p>The author is Elliott West; how’s that for irony — Mr. West writing about the West.</p>
<p>I’ve always been interested in the history of the American West. The wagon trains, the gold rush, and Western figures like Davy Crockett, Buffalo Bill, Geronimo, and Annie Oakley.</p>
