Observations about Sydney
<p>For awhile I’ve been thinking of writing an article with some of my observations about my current city of residence- Sydney, Australia. Lots of elements and interesting aspects in this multifaceted city. So trust me there’s much to unpack.</p>
<p>I first visited Sydney back in the late 1990s on a very memorable day in world history. I had been in Fiji for the previous week and arrived in Sydney on an early Sunday morning. After clearing customs and arriving at my hotel I turned on the TV to get a glimpse of Australian television. On the news show being aired they were talking about Princess Diana being in a bad car accident in Paris, and they were awaiting an update from Buckingham Palace. Within a few hours that update came and the world was informed that Princess Diana had perished. So in a sense Sydney would forever be etched in my mind because of that unfortunate occurrence.</p>
