While we’re all waiting for the canary to sing, some presidential candidates pick their favorite songs.
<p>Not all candidates participated, so I need some help filling in the gaps.</p>
<p>Here is a <a href="https://www.politico.com/news/magazine/2023/09/06/top-20-songs-chris-christie-nikki-haley-will-hurd-cornel-west-00113795" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">starter list from Politico</a> for some, but not all of the candidates. Bruce is pretty much spoken for here and elsewhere by Chris Christie, former Governor of New Jersey. He claims to have gone to over 100 Springsteen concerts, and he claims he knows all the lyrics: Politicians tend to make outrageous claims, especially on matters of more public urgency.</p>
<p>Trump and DeSantis did not participate, so here is a starter list for them. I’m not sure either deserve a Springsteen song, but that call is for <a href="https://medium.com/rock-nheavy/7-superb-springsteen-songs-that-go-under-the-radar-1f7f19c71e3c" rel="noopener">Mark Holburn</a> and his cohorts to decide.</p>
