Why IS It Okay for Black People to Wear Blonde Hair But It’s Wrong for White People to Have Braids?
<p>I can tell you this, I’ve had more hairstyles than Lisa Rinna and as a white guy, I’ve been called out by Black people for having dreadlocks but never for wearing a wig. I mean, I totally would have worn a blonde wig if I’d thought of it earlier, but blondes are boring.</p>
<h2>The Proof is in the Cake</h2>
<p>This is an observation of the world around us, and it’s everywhere. We’ve always seen Black women with weaves or blonde hair, but Black hair in its natural state is something to be celebrated, not hidden or changed. Yet, white people remain curious about the different types of Black hair and frequently seek to appropriate it, but still marginalize the same people they are copying.</p>
