Watching and Enjoying Ron DeSantis Circling Down the Drain (Opinion)

Hopefully, you’re fortunate enough never to walk into a bathroom at night and spot a roach in the sink. You think about where the bug spray is, and either you aren’t sure, or it’s too far away to expect the roach to be there still when you get back. As a last resort, you turn on the faucet and watch the roach get swept up in the water, its six legs kicking as it tries to no avail to climb out.

Ron DeSantis is like that roach, circling down the drain, though he’s still kicking and fighting metaphorically to stay alive in the race for the Republican nominee for the 2024 presidential election. If you turn off the water too soon, the roach might ultimately climb back out of the drain, ready and willing to spread germs and disease wherever they go. Roaches leave paths of urine, feces, regurgitated saliva, and digestive fluids that can cause E. coli, salmonella, typhoid, urinary tract infections, digestive problems, and sepsis. The more I think about it, the more that roach sounds like Ron DeSantis.

Visit Now
