Do Race and Perception Play a Role in Black Deaths in America?
<p>When trying to dismantle racism, the question “is racism taking place?” Is not always the question that needs to be asked. It’s<em> </em>who<strong> </strong>is upholding racism, or more likely to overlook racism, that will provide clearer guidance.</p>
<p>In my previous essay, <a href="https://medium.com/fourth-wave/who-upholds-racism-in-america-f5826be6f4f0" rel="noopener"><em>Who Upholds Racism in America?</em></a>, based on data, research, and statistics, we found that white police and white Republicans were the demographic most likely to uphold or overlook racism in the U.S.A., with white people in general also playing a part.</p>
