Power Play in Red: A True Story
<p>The work of a mother is myriad, from those weekly requests to get the ingredients for cookery lessons that you dread will eat into your food budget irreparably because there is always a wild and expensive ingredient that needs purchasing at the last minute, to making sure the PE kit is washed and ready for school every single week without fail, to packing the lunch box with healthy treats daily to impress both child and teacher in one fell swoop.</p>
<p>There is no doubt that mothers bear the brunt of this (but I am open to being corrected by someone who doesn’t identify as a mother and has a similar shoe story to share from a new, less binary perspective, of course) someone navigating the social and psychological aspects of parenting day by day as I have.</p>
