Mexico City Week 1
<p>Why am I in Mexico City? It’s because of a bit of luck, a flexible job and boss, and a program called Remote Year (remoteyear.com). I have been following this company for several years but was never able to do the program because it required a 12 month commitment and traveling across the world in multiple time zones. However, Remote Year recently opened up 1 month programs, so I jumped at the chance to experience this “workation” experience.</p>
<p>I was extremely lucky to be able to do this program. At first I wasn’t even going to ask my boss since I thought the request was too ludicrous. However, due to COVID, my company recently became remote-first, so it doesn’t really matter where I am, as long as I am getting my work done. I was very happy when my boss said yes!</p>
