Cohort Stories: Meet Waliyat

<p>Coming to the United States as a young Nigerian teenager was eye-opening in the sense that we certainly do not live in a world of equal opportunity, and some people have it easier to achieve success, while others use their limited access to resources to try to achieve the same greatness. I am mostly proud of the fact that it gives me the opportunity to simultaneously see two separate worlds. You can decide which ideas and cultural practices to follow. I had the advantage of going over the cultures of two distinct countries and choosing specific elements that looked to be helpful overall.
