Turkey — Where the Twain Meet

Turkey always had a special fascination for me ever since I was a kid. A lot of it had to do with pages and illustrations from history books, I think. And then when I grew up and started to read Orhan Pamuk novels, I was getting increasingly drawn to this country. His novel, Istanbul, portrayed the lives and the city so well, I knew I had to visit it someday. Thanks to the economical fares of Turkish Airlines, my dream finally came true in 2013. Istanbul was all I had dreamed of and more.
