Literature class with Taylor Swift

If you’re familiar with my writings, you may have noticed that I tend to quote some of her lyrics whenever I have the chance. We have to admit that she has a lot of songs that can reflect every kind of condition in your life. Heartbreak? Listen to the 10-minute version of ‘All Too Well’ for maximum impact. In love? You could listen to every song on the ‘Lover’ album all day long. Feeling sad and devastated? ‘This Is Me Trying’ would be the perfect choice. Feeling like you’ve been fed up with patriarchy? Listen to ‘The Man’.

I don’t know about you, but I find her lyrics soothing, expressive, and incredibly meaningful. Sometimes, I even find myself making progressive improvements in English by learning from her lyrics — especially since English isn’t my native language. Alongside what I’ve learned in school and from my favorite TV shows, listening to her songs has undoubtedly helped me enhance my English language skills. Her lyrics often contain clever and poetic language, including idioms and figurative expressions. Engaging with her lyrics has proven to be a wonderful way for me to learn idiomatic expressions and deepen my understanding of the nuances of the English language and culture.

Website
