The Tales From 1001 Nights | The Pinnacle of World Literature?
<p>Cast your mind back to all the years of existence you have had on Earth — when was the inaugural instance where The Thousand and One Nights have infiltrated your mind? It could be when you were seven, just now, or perhaps it is still an avenue of English Literature that you are yet to explore.</p>
<p>For me, I distinctly remember the nights spent crawled up in my bed, desperately digging my eyeballs out for the <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doraemon:_Nobita%27s_Dorabian_Nights" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Doraemon (A Japanese Cartoon Anime) movie</a> playing on TV. Little did I know, the subtle details such as ‘Open Seasame’, ‘Flying Carpet’, ‘Golden Palace’, ‘Sub-Saharan Desert’ and scene where Sinbad the Sailor has to be rescued by a preying eagle, were all inextricably alluding to the Arabian Nights.</p>
