Recap: Raiders beat Patriots to extend hot streak

The Las Vegas Raiders’ defense came to the rescue and led the team to a 21–17 win against the New England Patriots yesterday. With this second straight victory, the Raiders’ win-loss record has improved to 3–3. They are ranked third in the AFC West division. Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who exited the game early after an apparent back injury, completed 14 of 22 passes for 162 yards and tossed a touchdown pass to wide receiver Jakobi Meyers. Brian Hoyer replaced Garoppolo and completed 6 of 10 passes for 102 yards, including a key 48-yard toss to rookie wideout Tre Tucker.
