A Night in the Hot Springs
<p>“You’ll probably see a lot of naked people,” I said as I attempted to explain to my partner what these steamy pools of water were like.</p>
<p>She eyed me quizzically. This was her first time in Oregon and she had yet to become accustomed to the West Coast way of life. I had taken a job in Eugene that summer and this was her first time visiting me.</p>
<p>Oregonians are a different breed than the conservative New Jersey crowd we were used to. They express themselves freely and unabashedly. One might say they like to bathe <em>au naturale.</em></p>
