A Former Police Officer Rejected By The Court
<p>Two other police officers assisted Chauvin in restraining Floyd. A fourth officer was Tou Thao, who prevented bystanders from intervening to help Floyd. Chauvin was convicted of second-degree murder. The others were charged and convicted of violating Floyd’s civil rights.</p>
<p>The ex-officer Tou Thao argued that prosecutors failed to prove his actions were willful. He made an appeal which the Supreme Court rejected.</p>
