Indianapolis Police Shooting

The Incident
The incident took place near the intersection of Shelby and Raymond streets on the city’s south side. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department (IMPD) officers were initially responding to an unrelated robbery at a Speedway gas station at 2053 Shelby Street. While at the gas station, officers received information about a man in a vehicle who possibly had a warrant.

Approaching the situation cautiously, the officers encountered 38-year-old Antoine Beech, who was seated in the passenger seat of a Chevrolet Impala. They observed that Beech had a firearm within his reach and instructed him not to reach for it. Tragically, Beech allegedly ignored their warnings and made a move for the gun, resulting in one officer discharging his firearm and injuring Beech. Thankfully, Beech was reported to be in stable condition following the incident.

Visit Now
