7 Felony Charges in Bellevue Case
<p><em>The charged conduct in this case began at approximately 4:18 a.m. on September 23, 2023, when Bellevue Police Officer Manns caught the defendant committing a burglary in progress at a Bellevue dealership. The defendant bolted from Officer Manns and retreated further into the building, where he then broke out a window and ran towards a new Dodge Durango with dealership plates, ignoring all orders to stop. Officer Manns caught up to the defendant and grabbed him by his shoulders with both hands, but the defendant broke free of her grip and jumped inside the Durango. The defendant relentlessly fought Officer Mann as she attempted to apprehend the defendant and force him out of the vehicle. The defendant then wrapped his hands tightly around Officer Mann’s neck, causing her to lose her to lose the ability to breathe as she fought to release herself from the defendant’s grip.
