Faith With a Battle Plan
<p>It got so bad that even their brothers and sisters living in the surrounding exiled lands urged them to give up and come “home” (Nehemiah 4:12).</p>
<p>However, their resolve could not be crushed. They continued to work with danger looming.</p>
<p>Half the men worked as guards, and low points in the wall were fortified with extra fighting men. Even those who continued to build did so with one hand, armed with a weapon in the other.</p>
<p>They trusted in the Lord. They believed that God was with them, but they didn’t have a naive faith.</p>
