A cold winter day Humboldt county 2015, I was free climbing an 80 foot redwood, a popular activity for my self and friends at the time Two of my friends & at least two others were there as well thankfully.
When I think of this day I feel deeply sad, for the pain it caused my family, friends, and others affected by this. As well as for the obvious existential pain I was experiencing at the time.
I thought I was going to escape my problems that felt unsurmountable instead I got bigger badder problems that forced me to grow.
