A postcard that was created using personal photographs and Adobe Photoshop.
This is a project I created by myself for my NMIX class in the Summer of 2023. The goal of this project was to utilize the software Adobe Illustrator to create a professional, vintage-looking postcard that included a personal photograph.
I believe this project serves a purpose to a user because the design opportunities are not only limited to postcards. Photoshop is an excellent tool that thousands of people from multiple occupations use every day. Being well-versed in this software, as well as understanding color patterns and lighting will help any designer become more proficient in their field. No matter what it may be.
The first steps I took to create this project were I first needed a picture to use as my background. I wanted something that had a lot of details, but at the same time wouldn’t be the center of the viewer's attention. I ultimately decided on this picture that I took from a street corner in downtown Athens.
