<p>Racism is something that has existed in the United States from its earliest days. People may feel superior to others because of the color of their skin or other factors. Racism is not only by white supremacists or people who feel their white privilege.</p>
<p><em>After the killing of George Floyd by a police officer during the COVID pandemic in 2020, protests against racism and police brutality of Black men brought the issues to the forefront of society.</em></p>
