<p>The first thing you notice about Bangkok is the mirth among the people. The residents often have an English name, which are inane and most certainly not names for people in the Western world. Yes, be prepared to be greeted by your Thai mates with names such as “Echo” and “Jelly”! Behind their smiles, they hide a great philosophy which is particularly well-suited to today’s post-Covid, anxiety filled times. “Sanuk” (<strong>สนุก</strong>) is a Thai way of life, a philosophy, which asks every person to self-orient themselves in a way which maximises the fun in life. Not to take any misfortunes more seriously than necessary, this allows Thai people to look past your overwrought excuses and live a pleasurable life as much as possible.</p>
