On September 17, 2021, the Korean TV show, Squid Game, began to take the entire world by storm. It became the number one most watched show on Netflix.
Squid Game is about 456 people who are in extreme debt with no way of seeing light at the end of the tunnel until a random man comes up to them one day and gives them an invitation to a game that can change their lives. The change is 45.6 billion South Korean won.
There’s just one caveat though: the game is literally life or death. These 456 players must beat all their childhood games or else they die. 455 people die with nothing. Only one is left standing.
