Can you recycle in Romania?

Small Batteries, Light Bulbs, and Car Batteries

For the average household batteries, like AAs, you should be able to find plenty of dedicated recycling bins inside supermarkets, hypermarkets, or even office buildings.

Most of these locations also feature a bin for light bulbs as well.

For car batteries, you can usually leave them at the store that sells you the new one, and you can even receive an artificial discount (as in the reduced price is the normal price for that battery).

For a personal example case, a few years ago, I’ve “saved” about 25 RON for offering the old car battery in return. That meant about €5 for a €67 battery.
