UNVEILING THE DARK SIDE OF PHILANTHROPY

Over a decade ago while on holiday visiting the small, rural villages in Laos, I became aware of the child trafficking that was taking place in this region. Enamored with the villagers kind and gentle nature and the horrific tales told about the loss of their children, I decided to do what I could to improve their lives. I wanted to do things right and began the long, arduous process of establishing a nonprofit organization. The-Spirit-of-Humanity.org was created and I moved to the village of Kengmaihia, Lao where we started a series of projects. Extending the school from first through fifth grades to sixth through eleventh grades, keeping the kids in school longer.
