A Case for My Own Lime (2021/09/07)

The Case for Lime

My new job is roughly 3km from my current apartment. That brings the cost of a one way trip up to 22.5 shekels, and a return trip to 45 shekels.

With 22 work days per month (on average), that brings the cost per month to 990 shekels p/m to ride Limes.

The Case for My Own Scooter

Consumption is at most 2kWh/100km, at a cost of 0.6 shekels per kWh in Israel. That means 1.2 shekels to travel 100km, or 0.012 shekels/km.

So for a month of travel to work and back; 3*22*2=132km, which will cost 132*0.012=1.6 shekels.
