I Just Got Accused of Indoctrinating My Own Kids

<p>Specifically, let&rsquo;s talk about the religious indoctrination of children. It&rsquo;s a topic that&rsquo;s at the top of my mind because well&hellip; one of my readers just accused me of indoctrinating my own children.</p> <p>It all started when I wrote a simple, whimsical open letter to my son, entitled &ldquo;<a href="https://medium.com/p/e1e9d9fbd18e" rel="noopener">20 Life-Changing Lessons Every Teen Needs</a>.&rdquo; Lesson 1 in my list of values reads thus:&nbsp;<em>&ldquo;There is no such thing as a good person and a bad person. Instead, there are only good people who sometimes make bad choices.&rdquo;</em></p> <p>But, one of my regular readers, a self-proclaimed atheist, took exception to the idea that I would dare teach my kids that people are inherently good.
