Living Our Own Realities
<p>It was a casual conversation with a colleague a couple of weeks back when I mentioned, matter-of-fact, that one new-to-my team direct hadn’t taken the effort to set up an intro meeting. He also declined the one that I setup because he was busy with other ‘important stuff’. This colleague of mine agreed that it was strange, and ended the discussion saying ‘who would refuse to meet when their manager asks them to’. We laughed about it then.</p>
<p>But two weeks on, I simply can’t get over that statement. And I think I need another unrelated incident to explain why.</p>
