Is Prague the new Amsterdam?

On the 28th of October 2021, I visited Prague for the first time. I’d been living in Chemnitz, Germany for almost two months and decided to catch the two-hour train from Dresden to Prague with some friends. We spent the weekend in a cheap hostel and lived frugally but here’s what I took away from our weekend in the city:

Beautiful scenery. First and foremost, the views really are second to none. If you’ve ever mosied down the Charles Bridge at sunset, you’ll know what I’m talking about. Whether you look to your left or to your right, you will see the charming old town, stretching as far as the eye can see. Prague Castle, the largest ancient castle on the planet, looms straight ahead; providing the perfect backdrop for Instagram Influencers, excited tourists, and travel bloggers alike. Not only are the surrounding views perfect, but you become part of a perfect view. To top it off, the atmospherics are sublime: the stunning scarlet sky, the buskers playing their violins, and the sounds of hustle and bustle transported me to another time altogether.

Website
