3 Reasons to Visit Prague, The City of Alchemy

<p>is an ancient city filled with a long history of mystery, with much more than meets the eye. I recently had the pleasure of visiting this amazing city in August 2023. It was a last minute trip, so I truly had zero expectations for what to expect. Soon after landing, I realized I had stumbled upon an alchemical city filled with intrigue and magic! You can feel a buzzing energy once you step into this uniquely built city. The buildings and streets all seem to be laid in some perfect, symmetrical grid. Prague Castle sits high up on the hill, giving off an almost invincible feeling as you look upon it. This was the home of the Roman Emperor Rudolph II, who was obsessed with Alchemy, and the pursuit of the Philospher’s Stone. King Charles built The Charles Bridge in 1357, built strategically with astronomers and numerologists, to align the bridge and towers with the rising and setting of the sun. Prague was the capital of the Holy Roman Empire in 1300’s, and is where King Charles oversaw <em>The Golden Age</em> of Bohemia.</p>
