Why ‘They’ Loved Obama but Hate Trump

When Donald Trump was elected in 2016, the country entered a state of pandemonium. Tens of thousands of protesters in big cities vandalized property with ‘pick-your-choice’ epithets about orange skin and puckered lips. Even the liberal media joined in on the ‘outrage’ despite throwing him an alley-oop worth $2 billion of free coverage.

But through all the mayhem, the most embarrassing reaction came from a friend informing me that teachers on his campus allowed students to skip class to “mentally recover.” Regardless of people’s concerns during Inauguration Day, I could’ve never predicted the extent to which one man— so adored by progressives pre-campaign — would become the most persecuted man in U.S. history.
