Let me share with you the story of the day I met Iya Anu, and discuss the beauty, misconception, and impact of women supporting women in Nigeria. Even though my experience may not be the perfect example, it has greatly impacted me. As an African girl, I can say that the spirit of women supporting women globally has become a powerful force, that helps drive positive changes in the community as a whole, where women have taken different ways of supporting each other, economically, emotionally, socially, and culturally.
