Our upbringing forbids us to stretch in public, but we experience the need to do so. We also have to keep our mouths closed — which we sometimes manage to do by closing our lips convulsively, otherwise we have to use our hands to help. So you can see a hand held in front of you & your eyes closing — you want to show someone that they should keep quiet
