<p>While at Shanti Bhavan, Megala can focus on the future, something that her mother and sisters cannot do. She is not letting that opportunity go to waste. Megala&rsquo;s tenacity and determination are admirable. She is one of the top students in her class, a leader in the dorm, and an exceptional athlete. Her teachers remark that she is among the most unshakeable and steady students in the school&rsquo;s history. She is always looking to deepen her knowledge and think outside the breadth of the curriculum. This past fall, while on a call with one of the top universities in the United States, Megala asked the admissions counselor about the impact of colonization on the school.
