Prototyping the Future City

<p>In March 2023, the LCAU hosted a workshop at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) with a delegation from Mexico City. As part of a multi-year research collaboration that aims to deepen relationships in Mexico City with the generous support of Mota-Engil, the workshop brought representatives from the Mexico City mayor&rsquo;s office and ministry of education into dialogue with design and planning practitioners, academics, and students.</p> <p>Over two days, the workshop convened faculty from MIT, Universidad Nacional Aut&oacute;noma de M&eacute;xico (UNAM), and Tecnol&oacute;gico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) to discuss Mexico City&rsquo;s design challenges in the context of the energy transition.
