From Strength to Strength: Venom Testnet???s Fourth Month Recap

As we inch closer to our mainnet launch, we continue to finetune our network performance and inner workings at Venom Foundation. At the same time, we continue to build inroads in the Web2 industry, while forging strategic partnerships to expand our ecosystem.

Last month, we crossed the momentous 1 million mark for Venom wallets — an incredible feat we could not have achieved without our community. That being said, we never rest on our laurels. Instead, we continue striving for new heights and unlocking new milestones.

Here’s a recap of all the happenings in the fourth month of our testnet:

Venom Testnet in Numbers

It brings us much pride to see the Venom Testnet growing steadily. Compared to the previous month, we have recorded:

  • 460M transactions with an average of 42.58 transactions per second
  • 55M accounts (smart contracts)
  • 1.2M wallets
  • 10.6M NFTs minted as part of on-chain/social tasks
  • 493M messages with an average of 50.79 messages per second

Network Upgrades and Enhancements

In our quest to build a best-in-class blockchain, research and development underscores all our efforts. This month, we’ve made the following upgrades to further enhance the Venom blockchain:

  • Improved monitoring system, added more metrics and logs
  • Fixes for Overlay Network
  • Fixed potential panic for caching sessions
  • Limit WAL files for RocksDb

Three New dApps Join the Venom Ecosystem

This August, we’re pleased to unveil two new dApps in our Venom Ecosystem — QamonVenom Burn and OneArt.

Firstly, Qamon is a decentralized mail service powered by the Venom blockchain. In essence, it provides an innovative Web3 solution to data breaches on centralized servers. Qamon enables secure communication with end-to-end encryption for maximum security and peace of mind. Above all, users can enjoy rapid speed and affordability, with just a few taps on their mobile devices.
