How to Get Away With Racism & Exclusion in Pilates

<p>A recent article called&nbsp;<a href="https://www.nytimes.com/2022/04/25/style/forma-pilates-cost-exclusive.html" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">&ldquo;Is This the Most Expensive Pilates Class?&rdquo;</a>&nbsp;published by the New York Times (April 25, 2022) sent the Pilates community into an uproar. Depending on who you speak to, there were different interpretations. For me as a Black Pilates instructor with 15 years&rsquo; experience, this whole article was full of racist &amp; exclusive epithets. With Pilates studios like&nbsp;<a href="https://www.thefitinbedstuy.com/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">The Fit In Bedstuy</a>, and&nbsp;<a href="https://www.pilatesbarreandjams.com/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Pilates Barre &amp; Jams</a>&nbsp;who serve Black/Brown communites of all abilites, gender expressions etc as well&nbsp;<a href="https://www.blackgirlpilates.com/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Black Girls Pilates&reg;️</a>&nbsp;an instructor collective (founded by me), I am unsure why this&nbsp;<em>exclusive only</em>&nbsp;studio got this much press but I digress.
