The word mindfulness means to keep something in mind — to remember. It is about being aware of one’s experience of reality without the conceptual overlay (the stories we tell ourselves about it).

In Buddhism, there are four aspects to mindfulness: 1. Mindfulness of the body 2. Mindfulness of feelings 3. Mindfulness of mind states 4. Mindfulness of dhamma (truth).
