Embracing The Path From Constraint to Creativity

The word “catalyst” comes to us from the Greek “katalysis” meaning dissolution. Catalysts can lead to good or bad changes. A catalyst can be a seemingly small event like meeting someone who sparks change for yourself or a major event that sparks widespread change.

The pandemic was a worldwide catalyst. It’s been a catalyst sparking economic and social upheaval for every country to deal with. If we look back in history the 1918 pandemic led to very similar changes. At many levels of society, it was a time when mindful consideration of priorities had to happen.

For me, the pandemic changed the trajectory of my life. I was able to release time and activity constraints to focus on things I had left sitting on the back burner. Being locked down wasn’t a constraint. It was a release, freeing me to do more writing, more creating and to take time for introspection and growth.

Lockdowns are over and I’ve chose to stay with my new paths. The emergence of artificial intelligence apps like ChatGPT and Midjourney has allowed me to expand my activities and save a ton of time. These daily writings and images are one result.

I’ve met people who’ve become an important part of my life and journey. I hope I have been able to contribute to their journeys in the mutuality that life should be.

Our mindset when a catalyst appears is a vital part of how we emerge from it. The people I’ve met who put their attention on what they could control or influence emerged stronger and more at ease.

Accepting what is out of our control while putting energy into what we can control is a positive experience. Positive energy is stronger than negative when it’s given a path to flow along.

Go for the positive. Be a catalyst for your future.
