Classical vs Positivist Criminology

<p>There are two primary schools of criminology foundations. The first school of criminology known as the classical theory of criminology was founded by Cesare Beccaria. In the classical theory, Beccaria proposed an eye for an eye model of punishments for crimes. In the second theory of criminology, Cesare Lombroso founded the positivist theory of criminology. The positivist school of criminology is based on visual criminology and evolutionary biology.
