Baby Reindeer & Psycho Rutting Males
<p>In 2021 staff at <a href="https://www.cotswoldwildlifepark.co.uk/" rel="noopener ugc nofollow" target="_blank">Cotswold Wildlife Park</a> celebrated the birth of their first reindeer calves. I went to see zoo keeper Mark in the reindeer paddock, and the herd came trotting out to see if we had food!</p>
<p>“This is our oldest reindeer,” he said. “He’s our original male. We had him and his sibling, way back in the beginning. He’s been with us now for over 10 years, so he’s quite old. Unfortunately, we lost his sibling last year, just before the new reindeer arrived from Blackpool. It was a total coincidence that we had more coming. He’s 13 years of age and retired.</p>
